How the extras work in Bangalore taxi rental
Ask for a written quote, ideally on WhatsApp, before you confirm any cab. A good operator will list the base fare, driver allowance, toll estimate and tax separately. If someone quotes a suspiciously low per-km rate, check whether it includes all of that.
You can book by phone, WhatsApp or the online form. Bookings made at least two hours ahead are usually confirmed without trouble, and for weekends or long holidays we recommend booking a few days early.
If you need a car for several stops, a package works out cheaper than paying for separate trips.
Avoid 8:30 to 11 AM and 5 to 9 PM on the Outer Ring Road, Hebbal and Silk Board when you can. If you have a train to catch from Majestic, allow extra time because the station approach is slow at any hour. Tell your driver your gate or landmark, as many Bangalore addresses are hard to find by map alone. Our drivers speak Kannada, Hindi and English.

Kempegowda International Airport sits in Devanahalli, roughly 35 to 40 km from the city centre. That distance is not the real problem. The traffic is. A late-night drive from Indiranagar takes about 50 minutes. The same drive at 8:30 AM on a weekday can stretch past two hours, particularly around Hebbal.

Our Tempo Travellers are available in 12, 17 and 20-seater layouts, with AC, push-back seats and a music system. They suit college trips, family reunions, corporate offsites and pilgrimage tours to places such as Tirupati and Dharmasthala. For a full-day group trip, share your headcount, luggage and route and we will suggest a size. A 12-seater is comfortable for ten to eleven adults, and a 17-seater makes sense once you cross fourteen or so, since the last row is tight for luggage.
A quick fare example: a same-day Mysore round trip runs about 300 km. In a Dzire that is roughly ₹3,600 to ₹3,900, and in an Innova Crysta roughly ₹5,700 to ₹6,000, before toll and driver allowance. The Bangalore–Mysore expressway has cut the drive time noticeably, though toll adds to the bill.
Season matters. Coorg and Chikmagalur are at their best from October to March. During the monsoon (June to September) the ghat sections can have fog, slow traffic and occasional landslides, so allow extra time and avoid driving them late at night. Ooty gets crowded in April and May, and on long weekends the road out of Bangalore on Friday evening is packed, so leave before 2 PM if you can.
Going to Tamil Nadu or Kerala? Entering another state means an inter-state permit or entry tax, which is paid at actuals. We include it in the written quote so you are not surprised at the border.
A common mistake is fitting six adults and their bags into an Ertiga. It will seat them, but the luggage will not fit comfortably. When in doubt, choose one size up.
