Jim Corbett National Park is one of Uttarakhand’s largest Tiger reserves in the Nainital District. One of the oldest and most prestigious Jim Corbett parks was established in 1936 and was known as Hailey National Park. Jim Corbett is known for its species of tigers in the national park, especially for Bengal Tigers. This unique Tiger reserve is known as the father of Project Tiger to safeguard endangered species and the royal wild animal of India. 1. Bijrani Forest Rest House :
The first rest house is a Bijrani, Bijrani is a prominent zone of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. This is a Government forest rest house inside this zone which permits night stay in the lap of beautiful nature. This Corbett area and the Bijrani forest rest were once dedicated to the shooting block during the British era.
2. Malani Forest Rest House :
Malani Forest rest house is the second prominent rest house. This is a wonderful forest rest house located 12 Kms due northwest of Bijrani. It is located on the edge of the core zone of the tiger reserve, Malani has a lot to offer from the picturesque surroundings and solitude. 3. Sultan Forest Rest House :
The third prominent rest house in Jim Corbett is Sultan Forest Rest House. If we move towards Dhikala from Dhangarhi gate, Sultan is the first Forest Rest House we come to find out this forest rest house. This res house was named after the seasonal stream running through that area called Sultan Sot.
4. Gairal Forest House :
The fourth rest house is the Gairal forest house. This rest house can be accessed by a short detour of the Dhangarhi-Dhikala main forest road. The core attraction of this rest house is that it lies on the banks of River Ramganga.
